A Literal Star Trek Railroad

The rail industry calls "Star Trek" track to be track where no track has gone before. Usually this means something like the newly-constructed (2006) 5-mile Shelocta Secondary of Norfolk Southern. But today's press release envisions a railroad in space, specifically the moon, which will be developed by Northrop Grumman. From Space.com: "The envisioned lunar railroad network could transport humans, supplies and resources for commercial ventures across the lunar surface, contributing to a space economy for the United States and international partners..."
