Remembering New York's Penn Station

One of the most interesting parts of the New Jersey Transit 40th Anniversary celebration at the Hoboken Terminal was this replica Penn Station (New York City) eagle. According to Untapped Cities, there were 22 eagles that were part of the facade of the Pennsylvania Railroad's grand terminal in Gotham. Many still exist and until recently, you could see two of them outside of the 1960s-era Penn Station. These have been stored due to redevelopment work outside of the station and are expected to be eventually returned. Learn more about the Penn Station eagles in this article from Untapped New York.
