Early Tuesday Morning (March 26, 2024), a Singapore-flagged container ship crashed into the Francis Scott Key Bridge--which carries the Baltimore Beltway/I-695--leading to several deaths and paralyzing the Port of Baltimore. The Port is served by CSX Transportation, the Norfolk Southern Railway, and the Canton Railroad and the operations of all rail carriers will be impacted (together with the passenger-related impact to commuter rail provider MARC, intercity passenger rail operator Amtrak, and MTA transit services).
