Orr Joins Norfolk Southern, Duncan Shown the Door

Norfolk Southern has relieved Chief Operating Officer Paul Duncan of his duties, replacing him with John Orr of CPKC. The move comes as NS faces an attack from Ohio-based activist investor Ancora Holdings. From Trains Magazine: "In exchange for waiving the non-compete clause in Orr’s contract, CPKC received $25 million from NS and also gained unspecified “commercial considerations” related to the Meridian Speedway, the CPKC-NS joint venture linking Meridian, Miss., and Shreveport, La."
