In 2023, All Things Trains Chairman Phil Bell joined Oren Cass of American Compass to discuss the Railway Safety Act of 2023. Speaking as part of his role at FreedomWorks, Phil has been a strident opponent of this legislation which he says will hurt the industry by reducing capacity, undermine the capabilities of the highly-skilled employees who conduct safe operations on a daily basis, and create unnecessary costs for the sake of mollifying special interests.
